Formed by the National Union of Artisan Producers of Mexico and is the institution behind the Organizing Committee of the International Fair of Crafts in Mexico held in Mexico City. Las Manos del Mundo has the support of the ministries of Foreign Affairs, finance, tourism; ProMéxico, and the National Fund for the Promotion of crafts (Fonart).

From May 1st to 4th, 2014 the 6th International Fair of Handcrafts in Mexico will be held in WTC Mexico City. Craftsmen from around the world will be gather together In this event. Therefore, the beauty and uniqueness of craftsmanship in all its expressions will be the most important guests. The event will include an intensive programme of business meetings to facilitate buying and selling operations as well as a strong advertising campaign designed to wholesalers and retailers to attract wide public interested in crafts.

The Organizing Committee will provide the best opportunity for all exhibitors to promote their states, territories or countries, as well as the roots and cultural heritage of each region. Besides, it will give all visitors the opportunity to know them and purchase representative crafts and items. In addition, this multicolored and joyful party will count with the daily events of dance, art and traditional music events from most of the participating countries.

Profits collected in the 6th International Fair of Handcrafts in Mexico CIty, will be head for the maintenence of the National Institute of Development, Research and Design of Crafts, which will provide training, update and design courses to all craftsmen who request it.
