Dialogues, one of the three spaces dedicated to curatorial research within ARCOmadrid, will again offer a possibility of delving deeper into the rationales that make each gallery who it is, to understand them as an entity, not just a list of names one beside the other, because that is not what they are

Dialogues is an opportunity to explore, through the dialogue between two artists, the underlying logic behind their inclusion in the gallery.

The research undertaken by the curators of the section María de Corral, Catalina Lozano and Lorena Martínez de Corral in the gallery and artist selection, is an exercise of constructing new senses and new ways of approaching and understanding the gallery programmes.

Their view is neither generational nor geographic, it will include a look at Latin America which forms part of ARCOmadrid’s DNA and will provide an opportunity for the galleries to take risks that they might not otherwise have considered.
