NEW YORK, 28 March 2015 – Sotheby’s is pleased to unveil designer renderings for At Home, our third annual Designer Showhouse & Auction in New York. Twelve interior designers and design firms will each create one unique room within a home constructed within the fifth-floor exhibition space of Sotheby’s Manhattan headquarters.
The emerging and established members from the tri-state area and the West Coast design communities are asked to select works from an array of Sotheby’s departments to furnish their respective rooms, including 20th Century Design, English & Continental Furniture, Ceramics, Fine Arts, Prints, Silver, and Photographs. Each designer will juxtapose the contemporary and the traditional as well as fine and decorative art to create diverse spaces that embody the essence of modern-day luxury living. The Showhouse will be open to the public 9 – 16 April, alongside Sotheby’s Decorative Arts Week exhibitions, and will culminate in a dedicated auction of the room’s furnishings on 17 April 2016.
Trey LaFave Architecture and Interiors is creating 6300 square feet architectural design. The twelve participating interior designers and design firms are:
